Adobe AIR Developer Center for Flash

Getting started

Follow these steps to start building your first Flash application on Adobe AIR:

1. Download the Adobe AIR runtime.

   You need the runtime to launch AIR applications.

2. Download and install Adobe Flash CS3 Professional and the Adobe AIR Update for Flash CS3 Professional.

   This update enables you to package and preview .air application files within Adobe Flash CS3 Professional.

   Note: Be sure to follow the instructions in Installing Adobe Air 1.1 Update for Flash CS3 Professional to ensure you use the latest update.

3. Follow the instructions in Creating your first AIR application using Flash CS3 to familiarize yourself with the core concepts of developing applications for the desktop.
