Adobe AIR Developer Center for Flash

Getting started


Follow these steps to start building your first Flash application on Adobe AIR:

  1. Download the Adobe AIR runtime.

    You need the runtime to launch AIR applications.

  2. Download and install Adobe Flash CS4 Professional. and the Adobe AIR 1.5 Update for Flash CS4 Professional.

    Note: Flash CS4 Professional users, be sure to read Upgrading the Flash authoring tool with the Flash Player, AIR, and Security releases. If you're using Adobe Flash CS3 Professional, you must also download the Adobe AIR Update for Flash CS3 Professional. This update enables you to package and preview .air application files within Adobe Flash CS3 Professional. Be sure to follow the instructions in Installing Adobe Air 1.1 Update for Flash CS3 Professional to ensure you use the latest update.
