Publishing to Adobe Acrobat Connect Enterprise

Provide and control access

Adobe Captivate 2 includes the option to publish directly to the Adobe Acrobat Connect Enterprise Server, which provides the following functionality:

  • A URL you can distribute to your attendees
  • The ability to define user, group, or public access
  • The option to change the title or provide a summary
  • The ability to set up a course curriculum including adding enrollees, prerequisites, test-outs, and email notifications (requires Adobe Acrobat Connect training)
  • Access reports on scored interactions

After completing and saving your project, follow these steps to provide and control access to your Adobe Captivate 2 content from within Adobe Acrobat Connect Enterprise Server.

  1. In Adobe Captivate, select Publish from the menu.
  2. Select Adobe Connect Enterprise as the publishing option.
  3. Click the Publish button.
  4. Log on to Adobe Acrobat Connect Enterprise Server using your e-mail address and your Adobe Acrobat Connect Enterprise Server password.
  5. Click the Publish Now button. Click OK when the publishing process finishes.

Adobe Acrobat Connect Enterprise Server makes the hyperlink instantly available. To access the URL, to provide additional information or to edit access settings, simply log on to your Adobe Acrobat Connect Enterprise Server account and select Content from the Adobe Acrobat Connect Enterprise Server menu.

Adobe CaptivateRun Simulation: Practice Publishing Adobe Captivate Content to Adobe Acrobat Connect Professional

Note: During the simulation, you will need to complete the steps for each dialog box for the simulation to continue.

Create a searchable repository

Publishing to Adobe Acrobat Connect Enterprise Server allows you to easily develop a repository of all your Adobe Captivate 2.0 simulations and projects. You can automatically upload the project file ( .cp) with your simulation for backup or sharing among team members. The project title, summary, and text captions become searchable, making it easy to find projects and assets or share them with other users.

To enable Adobe Acrobat Connect Enterprise Server search in Adobe Captivate:

  1. Open your Adobe Captivate project.
  2. From the Project menu, select Preferences.
  3. Click the Preferences tab and select Publish Breeze metadata.
  4. Click OK.

To enable Breeze search, ensure that you have selected the option Include Breeze metadata.
