A job that requires any kind of travel also requires waiting—often lots of it, usually in airports, hotels, cars or other public environments that have not been conducive for learning—until now! Today's technologies make mobile learning very simple. Mobile learning, or m-learning, is simply learning on the go using portable devices such as video or audio players anywhere and anytime. This type of learning and the industry, including devices and content development, are growing rapidly.

Note: M-learning also includes devices such as mobile phones. Brian Chau has provided a Flash Lite 2.1 version of the sample project used in this article. View sample softskills_mobile.swf (SWF) or download softskills_samples (ZIP, 109K). You can read more on mobile learning with Flash Lite 2 and Adobe Captivate on the Adobe Captivate Developer Center, in the article, Mobile learning with Flash Lite 2 and Adobe Captivate.

You can use Adobe Captivate to provide the small manageable learning pieces that can be "digested" in those otherwise lost time periods. This article will show you how you can get the most out of Adobe Captivate and provide your learners with content for their mobile devices.
