Avery has been creating label products since the mid 1930s. Their labels have become so popular that even labels created by other manufacturers bear the Avery standard number on their box. The labels you print from in this article are page based, usually 8.5 x 11 inches, and depending on the size of the labels, can have from 1-80 labels per page. If you can’t find the dimensions in the documentation or from the manufacturer’s website, you must manually measure the dimensions below:
Now that you have all of the page and label dimensions, you need to identify where to enter them into the Report Builder. The table below shows the relation between the label dimensions and the fields in Report Builder. I have included the dimensions of the Avery® 5160 label that I use for this example. The templates for Avery 5160, 5161, 5162, 5163, 5164, and 5167 are included in the sample files.
