Team Macromedia member Raymond Camden presents a topic on validating input parameters. This presentation covers what is, essentially, a very simple topic: ensuring that the values your web application expects to receive (such as URL parameters, form parameters, and so forth) are actually valid.
Although this is an important topic, websites rarely validate such parameters. After this presentation, you'll learn how easy it is to create an error handler based on input validation (see Figure 1).

Macromedia offers live, in-depth product presentations called Macrochats—technical discussions led by product engineers, technical support engineers, and customer leaders. Macrochat content varies across all Macromedia products and technical levels.
Macrochats are recorded online using Macromedia Breeze Live. There is no charge to participate. While you are viewing, please keep in mind that these presentations were delivered to a live audience.
