MobTvG: Best Practices for Mobile Navigation

MobTvG, a mobile TV Guide, is an information-rich application that combines intuitive design and creative simplicity. The application won the Best Productivity application in the Macromedia Flash Lite 1.1 Content Contest and continues to generate interest in the mobile community.

One of the key contributing factors to the success of any application is good usability. Providing logical navigation and interactivity for your user is essential to achieve this. However, good usability doesn't have to be an art, and it isn't impossible to accomplish.

The aim of this article is to discuss the best practices for navigation on Flash Lite 1.1–enabled mobile phones and also to take a look at the implementation of the dynamically driven menu from MobTvG.
