Flash Lite Feature Demo Sample

This Flash Lite sample, created by Blue Sky North, originally posted in Adobe Labs, demonstrates some of the major new features in Flash Lite. The sample demonstrates the following features of Flash Lite 2:

  • ActionScript 2.0 support using the drawing API
  • Loading and parsing XML remotely or from the local file system
  • Dynamically building a user interface based on the XML
  • Loading external images and MP3 files into Flash Lite Player
  • Loading and controlling device video
  • Storing data locally on the device

Requirements

Many developers have shown interest in taking a look at sample source files for Flash Lite 2. We're providing this sample for you to play with; feel free to investigate the code and structure of the FLA and the supporting files.

To view this sample code you will need to install the following software and files:

File and Installation Information

To install the files, simply unzip the archive to your hard drive. You should be able to run the movie as is.

The ZIP contains:

  • The project source code FLA files
  • Music, video, and media associated with the demos
