Applying CSS from Screen to Print to Handheld – Part 7: Suitability for Handheld Devices

In Part 6 of this series, you took your health.html design and made the design printer-friendly by creating and linking a print style sheet. In Part 7, you will add a style sheet that makes your design handheld-device friendly. Your target audience for handheld devices will be HTML-capable PDAs and similar mobile devices.

In this tutorial you will need to download and install the desktop version of the Opera browser. It is this browser you will be using to test our handheld style sheet and general layout.

About the author

Adrian Senior owns the UK-based web design agency Webade, which has been in business since 1998. He is also a member of Team Macromedia and a partner at Community MX. The year 2004 saw Adrian's first trip to America, where he visited Orlando and delivered two sessions at the TODCon conference.
