Migrating from Microsoft FrontPage 2003 to Adobe Dreamweaver 8

Common tasks and their corresponding locations in Dreamweaver and FrontPage

Whether you are using Adobe Dreamweaver 8 or Microsoft FrontPage 2003—or hand-coding web pages in your favorite HTML editor—there are certain common tasks you often need to perform: write HTML, style pages, add links and images, and manage your site. Dreamweaver and FrontPage provide ways to perform these basic functions, as well as more advanced website management features. How you accomplish these tasks or implement these features varies from one program to another.

Tables 1–3 list some of the more common tasks and features you'll want to take advantage of in your code editor, along with a short description where to find each in Dreamweaver 8 and FrontPage 2003.
