Cesare Rocchi, a student at the Universita’ Politecnica delle Marche in Ancona, Italy, won the recent Student Rep RIA Application Contest. He entered his application, Posty, which simplifies microblogging. All you need to do is write your message once, click a button, and Posty will deliver your message to the services you’ve selected, like Twitter or Friendfeed. No more logging in to each service separately!
Rocchi is currently pursuing his PhD in Human Computer Interaction. He began working in Flash 4 in 1999 with the intent to research projects and explore adaptive mobile applications. His focus has recently been revolving around the user experience of Rich Internet Applications, particularly on tabletop devices, with extensive direction towards user-centered design. In 2008, Rocchi became more involved in spreading the word about RIAs by providing assistance and feedback to his fellow students at the university while representing RIAs for Adobe. Most recently, Rocchi started his own burgeoning company, Studio Magnolia (www.studiomagnolia.com), for consulting on user experience and social media design and development.
