Create your first Facebook AIR application with Flex

This tutorial will step you through the process of building a Facebook AIR application with Flex in 40 minutes. In the process you will:

  • Sign up with Facebook (if you are not already).
  • Add the Facebook Developer application to your profile and bookmark it for easy access (if you have not already).
  • Register a Facebook application to get an application API key that you use to make calls to the Facebook server.
  • Create a Flex AIR application that talks to the Facebook server.
  • Package and install the AIR application.

Requirements

To complete this tutorial, you need the following:

A Facebook account

Flex Builder 3

ActionScript 3.0 Client Library for Facebook Platform

Adobe AIR
