Get started in Fireworks CS4

Follow these simple steps to get started in Fireworks:

1. Download and install Fireworks CS4.
   Get started using the trial version of Fireworks CS4. Note that some Developer Center articles and tutorials require Fireworks CS4, although many apply still to Fireworks CS3.

2. Learn about the Fireworks CS4 workspace.
   Watch Understanding Fireworks, a video by Jim Babbage that gives you an overview of what Fireworks does. Work with bitmap and vector images in the same document, and deliver content in multiple formats.

3. Familiarize yourself with Fireworks Help and Support.
   Select the Help menu in Fireworks, visit the Fireworks Support Center, or use Fireworks LiveDocs. You can find help and documentation in all three areas.

4. Watch and learn with video tutorials.
   Watch video tutorials on the Adobe TV Fireworks channel. See more video presentation links below.

5. Master the finer points of Fireworks with tutorials and articles in the Fireworks Developer Center.

6. Communicate with other Flash users through our community resources.
