Using Vector Masks

What is a mask, and what is masking? Here's a way to understand what a mask does: Let's say you have a rectangular photograph and you want to make it look like a circle—but you don't want to erase any of the photograph's pixels. Use a vector mask—in this case, a circle—to mask the rectangular photograph and give it a circular appearance.

The following demo is one in a series on Fireworks 8 features. It reviews how to use vector masks in Fireworks 8.
