When you scale an object, you are either enlarging or reducing the object's dimensions, horizontally, vertically, or both.
Scaling bitmap graphics is not recommended; use an image editing program such as Adobe Fireworks or Adobe Illustrator to edit the original source file for the image, and then reimport the graphic into Adobe Flash Professional.

To scale objects, follow these steps:
Note: When you increase the size of a number of items, items near the edges of the bounding box might be moved off the Stage. If this occurs, select View > Pasteboard to see the elements that are beyond the edges of the Stage.
