Move movie clip instances in 3D space with the 3D Rotation tool. When you select a movie clip with the tool, its three axes (x, y, and z) appear on the Stage on top of the object. The z axis control is blue.

The z axis control in the 3D Translation tool is the black dot at the center of the movie clip. Drag the z axis control up or down to move the object on the z axis.

When you move an object on the z axis, its apparent size changes. The apparent size appears in the Property inspector as the Width and Height values in the 3D Position and View section of the Property inspector. These values are read-only.

To move the object using the Property inspector, enter a value for the z axis in the 3D Position and View section of the Property inspector.
