Setting Up the Sample Files (Server Side)

After you unzip the sample files, set up your Flash Communication Server to handle the server-side processing of this application:

1. Copy the two folders, bwcheck and bufferingStrategies, from the FCS_applications folder to the Applications folder on your FCS server.

Note: If you are using a local installation of FCS, the path to your Applications folder should be C:\Program Files\Macromedia\Flash Communication Server MX\applications\. You may already have the bwcheck folder and respective files if you have downloaded Stefan Richter's application files for his article.

I have chosen to create separate folders to allow for a more scalable application. This method allows minimal scripting when reusing the bwcheck utility in the future.
