Large-scale streaming deployments with Flash Media Interactive Server 3.5

This technical document covers the basic principles for deploying Adobe Flash Media Interactive Server in large scale to meet high-demand streaming to the Adobe Flash platform. A large-scale deployment can consist of multiple servers linked together to increase capacity and quality of service, meaning less interruption in the media flow and an improved user experience. Large-scale deployments serve multiple users with multiple tenants, possibly with numerous deployments across multiple data centers.

Efficient, large-scale deployments take into account issues such as datacenter choices (local or remote), bandwidth issues, storage and cache management, authentication and security, live streaming considerations, and troubleshooting. This document addresses these issues, and provides information needed to help make the right choices for your network.
