Creating a sharable application using Flash Professional

You can quickly make any Flash application shareable by using the Distribution service extension for Flash CS4 (and CS3) Professional. In this tutorial you will use Distribution service extension to implement the Grab It button functionality and Share menu shown in Figure 1.

Prerequisite knowledge

This tutorial is intended for:

• Experienced Flash designers and developers who are interested in creating sharable applications.
• Flash designers and developers who are familiar with ActionScript.
• Designers who already have a Partner ID for the Distribution service. If you do not have a Partner ID, see the Tracking applications tutorial for information on how to get one.

Downloading and installing the distribution service extension

1. Download the extension from the link in the above requirements section.
2. Follow the instructions provided to install the extension
