The events season is in full swing. I just got back from FITC, which had some fantastic content from the best speakers about Adobe Flash technology. Some of the sessions I really enjoyed were Grant Skinner's talk on how to be creative in an increasingly distracted world and Lee Brimelow's talk about Flash, HTML5, and native applications. RJ Owen has been doing a great job running down the conference on InsideRIA. I was also involved in an Android summit where I got to meet a bunch of Android bloggers to talk about Flash and Android. We got some good feedback, and the attendees were really excited about gaming and Adobe AIR.
As always, the community has been busy. One of the coolest things I've seen lately is a series of particle generation examples done with Flash technology. There has also been a big surge in hacking together hardware and Flash Player. Kevin Hoyt has a bunch of video tutorials to get you started, and you can see the results of Mike Chambers's experiments. AMFPHP, one of the more popular open source Flash related projects, also got a new roadmap with some great additions.
We're coming to the end of summer, which means a lot more cool community stuff is coming up. With Adobe MAX and all the other events, such as 360Flex and RIAUnleashed, it's going to be fun to see what you guys come up with.
