Now that things have quieted down a bit after Adobe MAX, we've heard the community talk about the sessions as well as the new technology. If you weren't able to join us for MAX or if you missed some of the sessions, you can catch up at http://max.adobe.com/online, where every Adobe MAX session is available.
A few of the MAX session write-ups I like are about Adobe Flash Player. Adam Parrish has a great summary of the Deep Dive into the Flash Player Renderer session on InsideRIA, where he highlights the most important points. He also wrote a very good description of the Flex Roadmap presentation that is applicable for a lot of developers. Tuomas Artman and hexagonstar.com also offered thoughts on 3D APIs. This is definitely a feature I'm excited about.
There were a few releases at Adobe MAX that may have slipped under the radar. One was Pixel Bender 3D. And Rich Tretola posted a bunch of videos from Sneaks, which are always worth checking out. In other news, Alex Uhlmann has some information about new guidelines for Cairngorm 3.
I also came across a couple of cool projects. One is a new parser for JSON called actionjson, which is supposed to be faster than the JSON parser in corelib and seems pretty slick. Also, Ben Stucki has been hard at work on Reflex, which, as Dan Florio notes, may help people who aren't using Flex with mobile development.
All in all, it's been a pretty great month since MAX. I hope all of you are getting prepped for the holiday season, and if you're working on anything cool, make sure to drop me a note at email@example.com.
