We know that developers do great things every day using Adobe technologies. Some build cool apps, while others answer questions in forums. They blog, write books, develop extensions and components, or work on open-source projects to extend our products. Others provide us with valuable feedback by reporting bugs or supplying ratings and comments on our website—the list goes on and on.
Some of the most active developers out there in the Adobe developer world are currently part of a program called Adobe Community Experts. But we wanted to do more to recognize and highlight the efforts of our developer community. The Developer Spotlight program is where we periodically feature a developer who is pushing the limits with our technologies, or contributing to the larger Adobe developer community in a significant way. Browse our list to gain deeper insight into what these developers are working on, find out a bit more about who they are, and see what makes them tick.
Here are answers to some of the questions you may have about the Developer Spotlight program:
Q: How often will Adobe feature
developers on Adobe.com?
A: We aim to recognize a developer once a month.
Q: What if I want to be in the
Developer Spotlight or want to recommend another community member for the
Developer Spotlight?
A: Community members are encouraged to submit candidates to be
considered for the spotlight at dev_spotlight@adobe.com.
If you are submitting someone other than yourself, please be sure to provide a
contact e-mail address for the individual you are submitting.
Q: How are the Developer Spotlights
chosen?
A: There are no firm criteria for selection, but some points that will
be considered are the usage of Adobe technologies, level of community
involvement, and recent or current projects being worked on.
Q: What if my spotlight submission
is not selected?
A: Because there are only 12 spotlight slots each year and we receive
many submissions, please do not take it as a slight if your submission is not
selected. There are many worthy candidates out there in the Adobe developer
community!
Q: What do I get if I am chosen for
the Developer Spotlight?
A: Admiration (we hope) from your fellow community members as well as
some great exposure from a feature spotlight article in the Adobe Developer
Connection.
Please contact us if you know a good candidate for an upcoming spotlight, and be sure to check out the profiles of past Developer Spotlight individuals.
