"My mother's philosophy is, 'Take the picture.' My philosophy is, 'Take the picture and transform it!'"
Meredith Blaché is an instructional technology specialist with Seattle Public Schools. She spends her day coaching teachers and working with them to integrate technology into their classrooms. She also teaches digital photography and Adobe® Photoshop® and Photoshop Elements classes at South Seattle Community College. She conducts workshops at many educational conferences. Her long-running ISTE workshop "Digital Photography, Creative Vision, and Image Editing" was listed among the Best of NECC.
For nine years, Blaché directed a community-based technology center and was proud to have been involved with the Adobe Youth Voices projects. Her most exciting life experience occurred when she took a six-month leave of absence to help two U.S. Virgin Island schools better integrate technology into their curriculums.
Blaché also runs her own photography business. Her parents, both professional photographers, instilled a passion for photography in her, and her interest in the field was reborn with the growth of digital photography.
She holds a bachelor's degree in information technology and a post K–12 teaching certificate in CTE/OTE.
