Winterscapes 2003

Objective: These images are dedicated to the winter landscape. I wanted to convey the beauty that is projected by the sparseness of winter and use it to illustrate the continued dialogue between Modernist Photography and the history of painting. I think what makes my work special is its ability to create dramatic effect through the employment of simplicity.

Tools used: I used Adobe® Photoshop® to alter and enhance the atmospheric quality of my photographs by adding several adjustment layers that would create an undeniable absorbing allure that takes the viewer into an infinite space. Through the use of Photoshop I have been able to create works that push the relevance of digital media in an ever-evolving photographic practice.
