The Weather Resort
Objective: The Weather Resort is an identity for a conceptual hotel chain based on the idea of engineering an experience around the weather. End results of a process book, interactive components, product packaging, and motion pieces articulate a sense of place by establishing the experiential parameters for the invented hotel. The goal was to design a visual armature through mood and narrative without ever visualizing an actual architectural site.
Tools used: I utilized many Adobe products to create the various pieces of the project. I refined many of the images with filter tools in Adobe® Photoshop®. Adobe Illustrator® aided in the design of the mark and typeface used throughout the project. I crafted most of the hotel product packaging with both tools. Adobe After Effects® allowed me to develop the idea into time-based components. Finally, I used Adobe InDesign® to pull all the pieces together into the process book.
