My Secret Diary
Biography: Jungwha Moon earned her high school diploma in Seoul, Korea, but came to the U.S. to study economics and fine art at Northpark University in Illinois. After two years of the academic program, she found drawn overwhelmingly to the arts and the environment of an arts-exclusive school. She transferred to Pratt Institute in Brooklyn, New York, to begin a major in Graphic Design in 1999. She has returned to Pratt to pursue a Master’s degree in the graduate Graphic Design program.
Objective: This is about my sorrow over parting with my ex-boyfriend. This work takes a personal diary format. I told my real story from Monday to Sunday (a week). So, every page has some short sentences about my feelings, which are accompanied by the illustration.
Tools used: First of all, I scanned a textured paper. Then, I imported that into Adobe® Photoshop®, and I adjusted the "contrast and brightness" in the image to make a special quality of the background. After that, I exported that image to Adobe Illustrator®. Then, I made a drawing using the Pen and Pencil tools there, and I tried to put some typefaces with the drawing.
