Biography: Growing up with parents in the navy, Derrick Emory Allen moved around frequently. After living in Illinois, Virginia and Guam, his family settled in Kenosha, WI. for Emory’s high school years. He then attended the University Wisconsin — Madison initially to study computer science. “It was too stifling,” he confessed. He then switched to graphic design. Graphic and web design are fitting for Emory because they enable him to combine his passion for art with his programming skills. Emory’s future goals are to move out to the west coast where he can pursue a career path in web design and motion graphics.

Objective: This is my personal online portfolio. It showcases all the graphic design and illustration work I have done since deciding to become a graphic designer/ illustrator.

Tools used: I used Adobe® GoLive® to edit all of the code on the website. The Save for Web function in Adobe Photoshop® was used to create a manageable file size to make web viewing quick and easy. Photoshop and Adobe Illustrator® were used in creating the majority of the original work.
