Concrete Dreams, Zaha Hadid's Phaeno

Objective: Phaeno is Germany's unique experimental landscape for science and technology. The exhibition and its surrounding architecture offer discovery and adventure. The architect's concept is transformed into a photographic art piece. The interior photographs show the developing process of Zaha Hadid's Phaeno over the last two years. The images have three main colors, which depend on the different artificial lights during the building process. These colors indicate the section of the building and the period of the building process. The last image shows the whole building and reveals the completed architecture from the exterior.

Tools used: All of the images were taken with a professional medium camera system. The images were scanned, cropped, and color-corrected with Adobe® Photoshop® CS. Images that did not fit in one of the three color rows were manipulated more than others. The layout and book conception was done with Adobe InDesign® CS.
