School of Visual Arts Summer Program in Italy/Masters Workshop: Design History, Theory and Practice in Rome and Venice

Rome: La Sapienza, University of Rome (June 1-6)

Spend two weeks studying visual communication (especially typography) in Venice and Rome, the birthplace of Western typographic tradition. This workshop will foster multidisciplinary activities in architecture, fashion, literature, theater, and cuisine. Collaborations with Italian design organizations and businesses will result in projects and products for publication and production. Students must be at least college level seniors studying graphic design or design professionals.
