Borzu Talaie is an award-winning designer and educator who has been in the field since 1993. His area of practice ranges from typography and traditional print to new-media, time-based communication and user experience design.
He currently teaches Interactive Design courses in the York/Sheridan Joint Program in Design. He emphasizes creative, critical, and strategic thinking by synthesizing practice, theory, and history in his courses. In addition, he continues his own studies toward an Interdisciplinary Master’s in Art, Media, and Design at OCAD University, where he contributes to the discipline as an instructor. He teaches Motion Graphics and Advanced Typography there, and his typography course web site, won him standout status in the 2011 Adobe Design Achievement Awards.
Borzu is the founder of Borxu Design, a multi-disciplinary studio where architects, designers, artists and programmers constantly challenge the fundamental theories of function and aesthetics to deliver distinctive solutions to their collaborative projects.
