Britt Carr is directly responsible for helping faculty and teaching staff integrate interactive learning activities into their courses at Miami University. He has spent the last 14 years helping faculty solve instructional challenges and develop personal and distance learning websites, interactive media, and advanced presentation technology.
Before joining the team at Miami University, Carr worked as an Internet strategist for Macromedia. He managed the company's Innovation Award program, which highlighted web developers' talents and groundbreaking use of rich media in education and eLearning.
One of his chief responsibilities is creating solutions that can be used both horizontally across the university as well as vertically within the discipline to maximize the reuse of custom-built learning activities. He is currently leading a number of projects that combine interactive video and artificial intelligence using Adobe® Flash® Media Server, Adobe AIR®, and Flex. He holds a BS in Broadcasting from Northern Arizona University and an M.Ed. in Educational Media and Computers from Arizona State, and is a certified Flash designer.
