Chongwen Wang is an associate professor at the Beijing Institute of Technology in Beijing, China. He teaches digital media technology, computer graphics, software engineering, and software modeling, frequently for juniors and seniors. He previously taught computer simulation and embedded software development.
He originally studied optical imaging at Chongqing University. Wang pursued a master’s degree at this institution, studying the technology of testing and measurement. He then earned a PhD in Science and Technology specializing in opto-electronic engineering.
He worked in research for several months at the Shanghai Eway Technology Corp., studying fingerprint image compression using the wavelet method. He was later invited to research graph matching at York University in England as a visiting scholar.
In 2009, Wang led his students to win the only Special Prize awarded by the Chinese Academy of Sciences Institute of Software in a development competition focused on mobile applications. It attracted 1,533 teams from universities across China. His team developed a casual game and won the Special Prize distinction.
