David Egbert is a senior developer at the Center for Teaching and Learning at Brigham Young University. He and his team of student developers build effective tools to improve learning. His expertise includes rich Internet application development, interactive video, DVD production, and panoramic photography.
Egbert's favorite tools for developing are Adobe® Flash® Builder®, Flash Professional, Flash Media Server, Photoshop®, Illustrator®, Acrobat®, and Dreamweaver®. Projects created by his team include online exhibits, virtual tours, instructional games, interactive graphs, media annotation tools, language learning tools, and instructional DVDs.
Egbert enjoys speaking at conferences and has previously presented at the League for Innovation Conference, Apple Worldwide Developers Conference, and QuickTime Live Conference.
Before taking his current position, Egbert worked as manager of the BYU Instructional Media Center, a campuswide technology consultation center for faculty, and as a technology support representative for the BYU College of Fine Arts and Communications.
