David Holzemer has over 15 years' experience working in the field of multimedia and web development. After graduating from Duquesne University with a BS in Multimedia Art and Organizational Leadership, he spent a few years working as a web developer for Source W before entering the field of higher education.
He began his academic career as an instructional technologist in the University of Pittsburgh's Faculty Instructional Development Lab. For seven years he taught university faculty how to work with Blackboard CMS. He also served as technology consultant in the areas of video capture and compression, audio editing and podcasting, and image design. Holzemer is now an eLearning and media design specialist for learning and development at Carnegie Mellon University. He develops the majority of eLearning programs available to staff and faculty. He also creates training courses on topics such as social media and creating presentations.
In his free time, he is an avid music photographer and enjoys hanging out with his wife.
