Grace Montoya is an interactive designer and professor at the Tecnológico de Monterrey (ITESM). She currently teaches undergraduate courses in interactive media, VFX, and web design for the Communication and Digital Arts programs.
As a designer, Montoya has worked in short films, advertising, and animation, creating motion graphics, visual effects, coding, and building interactions for graphical user interfaces and interactivity. Her favorite Adobe tools are Photoshop, Illustrator, After Effects, Adobe Premiere Pro, and Flash Professional.
For the past few years she has also designed and developed cross-platform mobile games for iOS and Android. Among her interests are storytelling, motion graphics, video projection, mobile gaming, VFX, photography, animation, film, and art in general.
Montoya holds an undergraduate degree in Computer Systems Engineering from ITESM and a master’s degree in Motion Media Design from the Istituto Europeo di Design.
