Jerry Monti is Technology Education Architect for the UC Berkeley Graduate School of Journalism. He is an award-winning media producer, instructional designer, and trainer with more than 25 years of professional digital experience. He has developed curricula for UC Berkeley's degree programs, a master’s certificate program in digital content, corporate digital transformation engagements for national news media, intensive accelerated digital training workshops for communication professionals, and graduate level courses. He has delivered seminar style training covering leading-edge Internet and social media concepts as well as hands-on digital content production training.
Monti’s experience and expertise enable him to develop and deliver highly successful train-the-trainer programs, and his student and client evaluations testify to this. He has written Marketing Research Documents and Product Specification Documents, produced project plans, schedules and budgets, managed teams that span distance and disciplines and delivered products that exceed expectations and win awards. He has software development experience and has consistently worked with leading edge technologies.
Monti holds an M.ED. from the University of the Philippines and a BA in Journalism from California State University. He is a former Peace Corps volunteer and was Apple Certified Consultant with Server Certification. Jerry lives at the beach in Pacifica and enjoys trail hikes in the fog, watching storms and listening to Miles Davis.
