Linda Warner Constantino is a professor of illustration at Savannah College of Art and Design. She teaches Portfolio Development, Watercolor for the Illustrator, The Portrait in Illustration, and Illustrating the Edible. She also wrote and teaches Type and Image for the Illustrator and Electronic Illustration for the Illustrator (an online graduate course). During the past 11 years she has actively developed assessment criteria for the illustration department and been instrumental in curriculum development. She believes the strength of the illustration department lies in teaching students the drawing and traditional media fundamentals for creative problem solving while also embracing digital illustration and design tools.
As an illustrator, designer, and painter, she has operated her own freelance design and illustration business for over 20 years and recently launched an art licensing business, Linadona Botanica, LLC. She won the Winsor Newton Award from the Philadelphia Watercolor Club and an International Award of Excellence from the Society of Newspaper Design for her page design and illustration. She was also awarded a SCAD Presidential Fellowship to spend a month in Rome and Tuscany working on "Illustrating the Italian Culinary Experience: From Garden to Table." She wrote and co-designed the book "The Beach House: Building a Family Heirloom: the Arthur M. Blank Family Retreat on Hilton Head Island."
