Ron Callahan is the systems administrator and technical advisor for the MFA Designer as Author program at the School of Visual Arts in New York City. He enjoys producing video podcasts for the program's website and for Apple's iTunes U. Always intrigued by new possibilities, his interest is focused on new media and mobile devices and how they can be used to propel student thesis projects into the real world.
As an avid Photoshop user since it was introduced, Callahan comes to the award-winning MFA Design program with many years of experience as a graphic designer, working with companies such as Walt Disney, Warner Bros., and Marvel Comics. His technical skills brought him to Apple and finally to the School of Visual Arts, where his love of the aesthetic and technologic come together.
Callahan lives with his family in Queens, where he enjoys perfecting his recipe for the ultimate beer and customizing his '92 Harley.
