Soo Han Chua is an instructor at IACT College in Malaysia and a Certified Adobe Expert and Certified Instructor in both Adobe® Premiere® Pro CS5 and After Effects® CS5. He is also a trainer at Teras One Solution, one of the few Adobe Certified Training Centers in Malaysia.
He earned a bachelor's degree at Multimedia University and then worked for Media Prima Berhad, Malaysia's leading television broadcast network. As a video editor in its New Media Department, he created many promos and video series for the station's online platform.
Chua later went on to lecture at Limkokwing University and recently joined IACT College as a lecturer teaching computer graphics, video production, and post-production. He is also a trainer at Teras One Solution, which provides training for professional working adults from companies such as Astro, Proton, and the Malaysian prime minister's office.
Chua has extensive experience using Adobe Premiere Pro, After Effects, and Photoshop® for most of his video work. His personal projects include corporate videos and presentations for companies in and out of Malaysia, among them the Asian Food Channel in Singapore. He also does freelance wedding videos, shooting with his DSLR camera and then editing with Adobe software.
Chua is one of the moderators for iconada.tv, a social networking site dedicated to creative Chinese talent in Asia. Members actively publish articles and videos and discuss culture and technology. He is also a regular speaker for After Effects User Group Malaysia (AEMY). He has delivered presentations at The One Academy and Limkokwing University, along with Adobe evangelists who were invited guest speakers. Known for his passion to develop creative talent in Malaysia, he was invited to help organize the 2009 Klang Creative Festival. He made it possible for many local filmmakers to showcase their films to event attendees.
Recently Chua founded his own training center, Arte Academy, in hopes of training new talent for the local creative industry. His favorite pastimes include badminton, video games, paintball, photography, and the cinema.
