“Knowing is not enough, we must apply. Willing is not enough, we must do.”
— Bruce Lee (also Johann Wolfgang von Goethe)
Aaron Davis is a mathematics and science teacher at Forest Lake State High School. For the last five years he has taught students in years 8 through 12 in Chemistry, Mathematics A, and Junior Mathematics/Science.
Davis likes to challenge himself by trying to implement the Australian national curriculum in interesting ways using information and communications technology. He believes that while technology can aid educators, it is also a tool for learners, so students should embrace technology skills as well.
Davis is a member of the Queensland Studies Authority Chemistry panel. This has allowed him to increase his knowledge of assessment. An active member of the teaching community, he coordinates Year 8 science and mathematics and is looking forward to the challenges of a new senior curriculum.
