Mount Lawley, Western Australia
“When educating the minds of our youth, we must not forget to educate their hearts.”

Anne Tumak teaches society and environment (geography) and is publication coordinator at Mount Lawley Senior High School. She has been an educator for over 25 years and is actively involved in professional teaching associations at the executive level.
Tumak uses Adobe InDesign to produce school newsletters and promotional materials. She also coordinates Mount Lawley Senior High student productions, including the school yearbook, using InDesign. Students design and develop all the artwork for the 300-page, full-color publication and deliver it print-ready.
Tumak has worked as director of Teaching Australia, a national association offering a centralized collaboration point across the continent for teaching professionals to share ideas, philosophies, and content. She is also a past president of the Australian Professional Teachers’ Association (APTA). In addition, as editor and vice president of the Geographical Association of Western Australia (GAWA), Tumak used InDesign over a number of years for design and production of the GAWA Bulletin, a quarterly journal for geography teachers.
She would love to have the time to improve her skills and take on the challenges of other Adobe products such as Photoshop and Acrobat Pro so she could leverage those skills in the classroom.
