Ben Jones teaches at Merrylands High School in New South Wales and leads innovative curriculum design and professional learning through his role as head teacher — Teaching & Learning. Previous to this role, he was a coleader of the NSW Department of Communities Professional Learning and Curriculum Support portfolio, key to implementation of the Digital Education Revolution, a comprehensive statewide 1:1 laptop program.
He also helped conceive and then write the application for PLANE funding (Pathways for Learning Anywhere, Anytime: a Network for Educators). Jones still holds a reverse consultancy role to the state office on a number of key projects that are part of the wider service delivery to public schools in enabling 21st century education.
