Brian Dawson is well suited to blend technology skills learned in the "real" world during his 9 years as a general manager in the building industry with knowledge gained from his academic training and his 23 years of teaching experience. Using design components as a tool, he infuses new technologies into his science curriculum at Emerald Cove Middle School. He prepares his students for the future by having them use cutting-edge Adobe applications to produce original projects that demonstrate their understanding and mastery of science concepts. His students even "paint their canvases" with rich media animations, providing assessments that go far beyond testing.
As an ambassador and track facilitator for Palm Beach School District's NCLB/EETT-funded Project SMaRT, Dawson has taken the lead in providing instruction for Palm Beach County School District teachers using Adobe® Digital School Collection.
Dawson earned a BS in Education from Springfield College in Massachusetts and a Gifted endorsement from Palm Beach County School District.
