"In China today, Bill Gates is Britney Spears. In America today, Britney Spears is Britney Spears-and that is our problem."

Dan Blevins is the Instructional Technology Specialist for Killough Middle School and a member of his district’s Technology, Distance Learning, and Technology Responsible Use committees. As part of his “other duties as assigned” he has written several database apps deployed throughout the district that use PHP and mySQL. He also designs CS-based online multi-level cross-curriculum collaborative lesson plans.
His certifications include high school Social Studies, Computer Science, and Online Learning Instructor/Course Designer. He was named an Apple State High School Educator of the Year. Now he spends his time supporting his school’s 850 Windows computers while training and collaborating with teachers and students to integrate technology into the learning process. As a Jr. Achievement State Economics Teacher of the Year, his favorite subject to teach is technology-integrated Economics.
Dan discovered the magic of CS5 during an Adobe Connect product presentation, and now spends most of his free time exploring CS6. Within two hours of the Creative Cloud launch he had activated his subscription and begun redesigning his website to display CS projects. Being dyslexic and colorblind, Dan is impressed at the way Adobe applications can be used as force multipliers for leveraging learning disabilities into strengths. He describes himself as “the ultimate end user.”
