"Excellence is doing more than others expect…and it comes from striving, maintaining the highest standards, looking after the smallest detail, and going the extra mile."
Denise Pinder, an educator since the early 1980s, began working with technology as a college student and has never wavered. For the Birdville ISD, she implements new and upgraded software versions, develops and integrates engaging technology lessons into the curriculum, and provides training for teachers to strengthen their technology skills. She particularly enjoys educating others about the latest Adobe software and its benefits.
As a teacher, Pinder implemented Adobe software-based technology courses that enabled students to develop skills they could use in college and careers.
Pinder was a trainer for the Intel Teach to the Future program and is a math consultant for Laying the Foundations, a division of AP Strategies, working with pre-AP math teachers to better prepare students for Advanced Placement courses. She presents at conference workshops in mathematics and technology and relies on Adobe® Premiere® and Photoshop® software to share her expertise. Pinder also uses Adobe software in her personal life, creating videos and photo collages.
Pinder holds a Bachelor's degree in Secondary Education and a Master's degree in Mathematics.
