Donna Levy is the coordinator of Information and Media Technology programs for the Clark County School District in Las Vegas, Nevada. As such, she oversees the curriculum and professional development needs of the IT teachers in CCSD. CCSD is the nation's fifth largest school district and is still experiencing incredible growth. In the past four years, CCSD opened five new Career and Technical Education Academies. Levy worked diligently to bring an Information or media tech program to each of these academies, planning the programming, coordinating the teaching talent, as well as directing the construction of the physical space.
Before becoming an administrator, Levy taught 3D Animations and Graphics. In 2007, she was honored to receive an Apple Distinguished Educator designation. And in 2008, she added Google Certified Teacher to her list of accolades. Levy has a passion for the use of technology to improve education and is known throughout CCSD as an "out of the box" thinker. She is currently serving as the president of the Computer Using Educators of Nevada, an affiliate of CUE Inc. as well as ISTE.
