Elizabeth Garrison is the technology coordinator at St. Anthony School in Kailua, Hawaii, where she is responsible for the staff's professional development and teaches technology to grades K–8. She also serves as program leader for the Kailua Catholic Community of Learners, which is part of the Schools of the Future Initiative, a grant-funded program promoting the integration of technology into a project-based curriculum.
Garrison realized the potential for implementing Adobe products in education at the University of Georgia in 1993. After graduating, she developed an Adobe-based graphic arts program at George Walton Academy in Monroe, Georgia. In 2009, she relocated to Hawaii to help other teachers incorporate technology into their curriculums.
Adobe products have been a key component in creating a 21st century curriculum at St. Anthony School. Adobe® Photoshop® Elements, InDesign®, Acrobat® Pro, and Bridge are used in projects such as electronic portfolios, digital storytelling, and the yearbook.
Garrison inspires innovation in the classroom and in her public speaking engagements. She covers topics such as ePortfolios, project-based learning design, yearbooks, and specialized software training.
She is a member of the International Society for Technology in Education (ISTE), Hawaii Society for Technology in Education (HSTE), and The Training Associates. She is an Adobe Certified Expert in Photoshop.
