Jeanne Biddle is Director of Instructional Technology at the Scott County Schools in Georgetown, Kentucky. She is recognized for innovative and creative methods of embedding technology into current teaching practices from pre-school to grade twelve. She is passionate in the belief that professional development is critical for helping teachers learn how to integrate technology for creating engaging lessons. This ensures student success in alignment with the Common Core and National Education Technology Standards (NETS).
Her educational experience spans PK-12 with emphasis on special education, elementary education, and technology integration. A few of the initiatives she coordinates includes the nationally recognized Scott County Digital Storytelling Initiative, begun in the early 2000’s, use of GPS and GIS in the classroom and community, supporting teachers and students creating videos, digital photography, PSAs, projects and presentations with Adobe tools and resources.
Biddle is recognized as an Apple Distinguished Educator, Olympus Visionary Educator, Microsoft Innovative Educator, and Technology Innovative Educator. She served on the Board of the International Society for Technology in Education (ISTE) for two terms and is involved in her regional and state technology organizations.
