Kelly Kermode can be found wearing many hats at Forest Hills Public Schools during the school year, from classroom teacher to web administrator. Student achievement is her foremost concern. She enjoys also assisting teachers with new projects and skill development. Recently, she trained web editors and site administrators at various district buildings.
Her daily job is teaching English. She has infused digital literacy into the curriculum by using collaborative editing tools and documents for fluid communication and faster student growth. Students are able to access her through online classroom environments, as well as social media tools.
She also leads a group of fantastic students in producing the award-winning yearbook, the Talon. For the past five years, the yearbook staff has won awards at state and national levels, including MIPA and CSPA. She prides herself on how many of her former students are out and about in the community working as designers, photographers, filmmakers, and web developers.
