"There must be more …"
—Matthias Rheinlander
Matthias Rheinlnder is a music educator who pioneered digital education tools for the discipline. In 1990 he began to work with computers at school and it lasted only a short time till he integrated computers into his daily work with students. At first, though, there were few opportunities to use computers in educational materials.
During the following years Matthias started his doctoral studies. He pursued the idea that computers are muscial instruments and instruments of musical education. He finished that work in 2002.
In 2000 Matthias began work on Logic Lessons – first for the company EMAGIC and later for Apple. The lessons provide complete material for teaching musical subjects like "Fugue", "Working with Synthesizers" or "Saint-Saëens' Carnaval of Animals."
Matthias has been an Apple Distinguished Educator since 2005 and joined the German AEL team in 2011.
