Mitch Wyatt is a school district web administrator and an award-winning media producer — web/DVD/CD developer, multimedia designer, graphic artist, and television producer — with 20-plus years of experience in educational technology. He is especially interested in online training and distance learning and presents frequently at technology conferences nationwide.
An early implementer of Macromedia® Breeze (now Adobe® Connect™), Wyatt uses the videoconferencing platform to bring college professors into the high school classroom and to facilitate exchanges with students in Kaluga, Russia, as part of a federal grant called Deliberating in a Democracy. Wyatt manages his school district's web pages with Adobe software including Adobe Contribute®, Dreamweaver®, and ColdFusion® and is also developing a separate website, the Richland One Virtual Education Resources (ROVER) Academy, to help deliver learning resources.
Wyatt is also the first K–12 Internet2 site coordinator designated in South Carolina. Past projects include numerous rich media CDs and a five-year stint as webmaster for an award-winning technology education challenge grant that used innovative methods to bring technology to underprivileged families. His software proficiencies include Adobe Creative Suite®, Macromedia Studio, Apple Final Cut Studio, Adobe Captivate®, Adobe Acrobat®, Adobe FlashPaper®, Windows® and Linux® server technologies, Adobe ColdFusion application server, and Tandberg Videoconferencing.
